This is how the Radico herbal hair colour strand test succeeds:

Do the Radico hair colour strand test on a part of the area to be coloured, because the final result is affected by hair type, the condition of the hair at the time of colouring, the amount of grey hair, residues of shampoo, care products, styling products, chlorine and other synthetic substances, as well as damage.

Perms, colouring or other chemical treatment increases the hair’s tendency to brittleness, damage and structural changes. Colour also attaches differently to grey hair. In this case, the colour attaches differently with each use and the final result may vary.

We recommend repeating the strand test every time before using the product if the hair has been chemically treated after the previous colouring time or if there is noticeably more grey hair in the hair than the previous time.

  1. Use a NON-METALLIC* bowl and spoon or spatula. Mix one (1) teaspoon of Radico Color Me Organic colour powder with a few drops of hot water. Mix well.
  2. Add water a few drops at a time and continue mixing until the mixture is even. The mixture should be slightly runny, but not too liquid.
  3. Separate a strand from your hair that is about 0.5–1 cm thick. To achieve an accurate final result, we recommend choosing two strands. One near the temple, where there is usually the most grey hair, and another from under the top layer of hair, where the hair is usually less grey.
  4. Put on the rubber gloves included in the package and apply the mixture to the hair strand or strands, starting from the root. Apply the mixture carefully to the hair from the scalp to the ends.
  5. Leave to act for 90 minutes. Rinse the hair strand or strands carefully. Dry the hair and check the final result. During the actual colouring, you can adjust the processing time according to how light or dark the test result is. By reducing the processing time you can get a lighter colour shade, and by extending it you can get a stronger colour shade.

*IMPORTANT: Do not use metal bowls or tools when mixing or applying the colour. Metal may cause a chemical reaction with the herbs and may lead to a change in the final colour result.

If you are colouring your hair with Radico hair colour for the first time, it is important to do the Radico hair colour allergy test. See the Radico herbal colour allergy test instructions here.
