The chemical based hair dyes always recommend to avoid shampoo for atleast 2 days beofore colour application. Radico Colour Me Organic is 100% chemical free so it is very important to shampoo the hair just before colour application for best results.

Use water at the recommended temperature (60 °C to 70 °C or 140 °F to 160 °F). Cold water does not activate the herbs while the boiling water damages the properties of organic herbs. Water at the required temperature of 60 °C to 70°C can be prepared by mixing equal quantities of hot boiling water (approx 100 °C) and water at room temperature (approx 30 °C)

Make the paste in a ketchup or yogurt like consistency. The paste should be neither too thick nor too thin. Very thin paste may not coat the hair well. A small part of the powder may be kept apart and used to correct the thickness of the paste in case the paste has become too thin.

Apply the paste as soon as prepared.

Conserve the remaining colour powder properly with an air tight clip or in air tight container for the next application.

For best results use at least the minimum recommended quantity. There should be sufficient paste to cover the hair completely.

Do not comb hair after the paste application as this may remove the colour coating from the hair.

After the final rinse, it is recommended to apply Radico Ayurvedic Hair Oil. The oil may be applied for a duration of few hours to overnight and the hair may then be washed with a shampoo/conditioner. The Radico Ayurvedic Hair Oil enhances the colour further, nourishes the hair, helps reduce dandruff and prevent hair loss.

For first timers, a second application after 24 hours is recommended to attain the desired colour.

The colour continues to darken over the next 4 to 5 days.

In very rare cases, Soft Black colour when applied to grey hair may give a very slightly purple tone. Within the next 48 hours, the hair colour must reach its black tone on its own. If this does not happen, use Radico Organic Henna to obtain a black colour.

In very rare cases, Brown colour when applied to grey hair may give a very slightly orange tone. Within the next 48 hours, the hair colour must reach its brown tone on its own. If this does not happen, use Radico Organic Indigo to obtain a brown colour.

In case of bleached hair, the first application may result in slightly green tone. If this happens, a second application is recommended after 24 hours to attain the chosen colour.
